YKH Consulting, LLC provided innovative mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the design and construction of a new two-story, 90,000-square-footp pre-K through 8th charter school. Designed to accommodate 800 students, the facility was developed to meet the growing demand for enhanced STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. YKH Consulting collaborated closely with the design team to create MEP systems that supported the school’s educational mission, ensuring a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment for students and staff. Key features of the facility include state-of-the-art classrooms, STEM-focused labs, a library, multipurpose spaces, and athletic areas.

The HVAC system was engineered to provide optimal indoor air quality and thermal comfort across diverse spaces, including laboratories requiring specific ventilation needs. Energy-efficient systems, such as high-performance air handling units and zoned climate control, were incorporated to align with sustainability goals. The electrical design included infrastructure for advanced technology and STEM equipment, reliable power distribution, and efficient lighting systems tailored to support collaborative learning environments. Plumbing systems were designed to serve high-traffic areas, including restrooms, kitchens, and science labs, while incorporating water conservation technologies.

YKH Consulting’s comprehensive approach resulted in a modern, functional, and future-ready educational facility, empowering the next generation of innovators and leaders in STEM fields.
