Early Childhood Center

YKH Consulting, LLC delivered comprehensive mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the development of a new, single-story, 10,000-square-foot early childhood building. Designed to foster engaging and interactive learning experiences, the facility includes a library, band room, computer lab, and multiple classrooms. YKH Consulting collaborated closely with the architectural team to ensure that all MEP systems supported the developmental needs of young learners in a safe, comfortable, and energy-efficient environment.
The HVAC system was tailored to maintain optimal indoor air quality and temperature across diverse spaces—from the acoustically sensitive band room to the technology-focused computer lab. The electrical design featured robust power distribution and efficient lighting solutions, supporting both general classroom activities and specialized equipment in the library and labs. Moreover, the facility is backed up by a 200kW natural gas generator to ensure reliable operation during power interruptions. Plumbing systems were carefully engineered to meet the needs of younger students, with child-friendly fixtures and water-conservation measures integrated throughout. The result is a functional, welcoming early childhood facility that provides a solid foundation for academic and creative growth.
