YKH Consulting, LLC provided expert mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the design and construction of a new, state-of-the-art, single-story, 24,000-square-foot community college workforce training building. This innovative facility was designed to support the rapid adaptation and training of workers for high-demand industries, focusing on providing flexible and functional spaces to meet evolving workforce needs. In addition to workforce training, the facility houses advanced nursing and allied health programs.  The building’s design emphasizes functionality and versatility, ensuring that it can quickly respond to changes in workforce demands.  YKH Consulting collaborated closely with the project team to deliver efficient and adaptable MEP systems for classrooms, labs, and multipurpose training spaces. The HVAC system was designed to maintain precise environmental conditions in specialized labs and training areas, ensuring compliance with healthcare standards and optimal learning environments. The electrical systems included infrastructure for advanced medical equipment, reliable power distribution, and energy-efficient lighting tailored to support both technical and healthcare training. Plumbing systems were designed to meet the needs of high-use labs, classrooms, medical training areas, and specialized systems for healthcare applications.
