YKH Consulting, LLC provided Ochsner Health with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering design services to construct a new 20,000 square foot central plant expansion. The project included new 13.8 kV paralleling gear, (4) 3.25 MW bi-fuel generators, (48) transfer switch replacements, and fiber optic control. 

(2) new 40,000 gallon above ground diesel storage tanks were added to allow the entire South Campus to operate five days with the use of natural gas injection. The 50/50 (diesel / natural gas) allows the generators to operate below the 900-degree engine exhaust temperature alarm point.
