YKH Consulting, LLC provided specialized mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the design of a new five-story, 343,000-square-foot pediatrics hospital. This cutting-edge facility was designed to enhance accessibility and patient care, featuring a dedicated pediatric emergency department entrance and a seamlessly connected parking garage for families and medical staff.

 

The HVAC system was engineered to provide precise climate control, enhanced air filtration, and humidity regulation to maintain optimal conditions in patient rooms, surgical suites, and emergency care areas. Noise reduction strategies were also incorporated to promote a healing environment for young patients. The electrical design featured a robust power distribution system to support critical medical equipment, advanced lighting for examination rooms and treatment areas, and a reliable backup power system to ensure uninterrupted hospital operations. The plumbing infrastructure was designed to accommodate medical gas distribution, water-efficient fixtures, and specialized drainage systems, all meeting the highest healthcare standards.
