YKH Consulting, LLC provided specialized mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the vertical expansion of an existing critical care tower, adding seven new floors to enhance patient care capacity. This expansion added 204 state-of-the-art single-patient rooms, adaptable nursing units, and intensive care units (ICUs), requiring a highly coordinated approach to integrate new MEP systems with the existing hospital infrastructure.

The HVAC system was engineered to provide precise temperature and humidity control, essential for ICU environments, while advanced air filtration and pressurization systems were incorporated to maintain sterile conditions and enhance infection control. The electrical design featured expanded power distribution, high-efficiency lighting, and critical backup power systems to ensure uninterrupted operation of life-supporting medical equipment. Additionally, YKH Consulting developed specialized plumbing solutions, including an expanded medical gas distribution network, patient-friendly water systems, and enhanced drainage infrastructure to meet the demands of a modern healthcare facility.

YKH Consulting worked closely with architects, hospital administrators, and construction teams to design and implement efficient, high-performance systems that support the critical care environment while ensuring patient comfort, safety, and operational reliability
